It is Topps' Diamond Anniversary season - 60 years of Topps cards have been produced since the birth of this American icon - Topps Baseball cards. To celebrate the 60 years of Topps has added all new parallel sets, inserts and relic programs, autographed cards, sketch cards and continuity inserts for all 2011 series. New products include Canary and Platinum Diamond bordered parallel cards that have the Diamond Anniversary logo. These uniquely bordered cards have a foil treatment that has never been used before to allow the cards to glitter. The Canaray are 1 of 1's and the Platinum Diamonds fall 1 in 4 packs. Other traditional parallels include Black Borders numbered to 60, and Gold numbered to 2011 as random inserts.
Other highlights of insert programs randomly included in packs:
Mickey Mantle's 1964 reprint Topps card featuring a piece of a game-worn Yankee jersey. Numbered to 64 are random inserts.
Cut Signature cards are a rare Topps 2011 insert as another 1 of 1 offering. 15 Baseball Legends have a card created to honor their legacy that includes a cut signature.
On Card Autographed cards feature Baseball Stars wishing Topps a Happy 60th Birthday for a uniquely inscribed collector experience and value. Sixty players past and present have signed these cards along with an additional inscription wishing Topps a "Happy 60th!" All autographs and inscriptions are signed directly on each numbered to 60 card. Numerous players' cards will be inserted into each baseball product throughout 2011. Five will be found in Series 1 as random inserts.
The World Champions inserts highlight the winner of the 2010 World Series with a special Autographed and Relic series. These dual piece of the game cards, are numbered to 50 and are hobby only sets. There are traditional Autographed Cards and Relic Cards also available in all versions of 2011 Topps series 1.
Kimball Champions re-create the historic and rare N184 Kimball Champion cards produced in 1888 which featured two gorgeous player images on each card
